A weather estimate for any point on Earth, from the nearest live METAR stations, running in your browser via WebAssembly.
The estimate is a distance-weighted average of the nearest
reporting stations within 100 km, corrected for the target
point's elevation, with dew point averaged as vapour pressure,
wind averaged as vector components, and pressure kept at sea
level like the stations report it. Stations within range that
haven't reported in the last 7 days are still listed, for
reference, but never used.
Everything runs in your browser: station selection, weighting
and corrections are the weather Rust library
compiled to WebAssembly; only fetching the station list and the
live observations happens in JavaScript.
